Tom is a personal trainer with over 12 years of experience. It started with a Sports and Exercise Degree where Tom had the chance master the intracacies of poker, then graduated into a day-to-day which consists of training clients, planning, testing, researching, watching lectures, listening to podcasts and endlessly searching for the most effective techniques for everyday people to get the most out of their often limited exercise time.

CURRENT FOCUS

Developing the perfect programme for imperfect people. 

After years of practical experience training himself and his clients, testing different techniques and seeing what works and what doesn't in the real world, Tom’s main focus is on developing The Strength Sessions both as a gym class and as an online training system.

The goal is to help as many people as possible to get the results they want, to stop wasting time on ineffective techniques, gimmicks and excessive cardio, and to become effective minimalists...stimulating serious physique improvements in minimal time, smashing the barriers in the way of people getting healthy and looking their best.

TRAINING

Tom's own training focuses on hand-balancing, strength training and the pursuit of a More-Athletic Body.

Tom isn’t the most naturally gifted athlete, but one who has built his naturally pathetic, skinny frame into something slightly less pathetic.

Tom’s training is centred around strength, power, hand-balancing and flexibility. Most impressive feats include a personal record of 20 strict Chin Ups (yes 20, ...STRICT), and a (nearly) One-Arm Handstand (or actually...falling out of a one-arm handstand really often).

Tom is all about providing high quality coaching while steering clear of the fads, myths, gimmicks, lies and fake over-professionalism that dogs the fitness industry. All while having a fairly nice time along the way.

Tom has many rave-reviews on ClassPass (who send many people to The Strength Sessions each week), and an average rating of 4.8 stars (currently 5.0 stars), (yes, out of 5), which if nothing else means he's going to be relativelty polite, up for it and good at telling you what to do.
